I hear that John Bolen says he is not coming back to MMS and race anymore after what happened last Saturday night. I do not have anything against Bolen and hope he comes back to race with us but the MMS rules are if you turn someone around to try and gain a position then both cars go to the rear...........I thought everyone knew this.

Where else are you going to race and win $5,000-$6,000 by winning a race?? Sometimes you just got to take the switch on the rear end and come back a better driver the next race. You are only hurting yourself when you don't come back because MMS is going to continue to attract more and more drivers.

I still don't agree with MMS for allowing a driver to drop his worse finish. I REALLY BELIEVE THE CAR COUNT SUFFERED BECAUSE OF THIS NEW RULE SATURDAY NIGHT. If a driver wants to win the SMTM Points championship, they should have to be at every single SMTM race. Hopefully next year MMS will change this rule as I have heard from a lot of fans who don't like the rule. I really want MMS to grow and start 40 + cars every SMTM race.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

i kinda like it but i think you should only get to drop your worst finish of a race that you started.by not showing up at all you hurt the show and lose valuable seat time

I think that the rule states your allowed to drop your worst finish, if you did not start you did not finish. I think that by not showing up for a race counting the same as finishing last in a race is just wrong, and penelizes those who have shown up for every race supporting the track. If the rule is enforced by allowing those who did not show up at this event to simply just drop it and only be scored in the races they did show up to you are clearly catering to chase elliott and auggie, and clearly penelizing jason young and john bolen. I think common sense should prevail and those who start races get points and those who do not are simply just out of it. But if this rule was in place and explained to those who didnt show up this past week its hard to go back on your word to them that if they missed a race it would be ok. just my opinion

Did Josh Hamner finish 4th or 9th in this SMTM race? What is the official finish?

I have a question>>>>(not that it really matters as poorly as we ran) but how can a car that parked and was on the same lap after parking as other cars (ours) be scored ahead of a car that finished and actually had taken the checker flag? It does not really make any difference from 11th to 12th but it still was wrong.

I totally agree Chris, this rule is counter productive. Back in the '90's we had a really good slotcar series throughout the southeast until this same rule was put in place. We ran one big race a month, a total of 9 races per season and dropped 2 of the worst finishes. It too rewarded those who didn't show up, and penalized those who showed up every race and spent the time, money, and effort. It is a terrible rule, and needs to be done away with.

If you completed the same number of laps, it would be which car completed the laps first. If he parked after completing 98 laps, and you completed 98 laps taking the checkered flag, the other car completed lap 98 before you did, therefore would be scored ahead of you. It doesn't matter if he took the checkered flag or not, he completed 98 laps before you did.
